Louise is pregnant with her last child, Lothar, in this photo. The people numbered 10, 11, 12, 13 and 19 are all descendants of Carl Fiedler (1.5 FIEDLER), Louise Schubert’s half-brother: (#19) is Carl’s wife, Bertha Fiedler (Muller); (#10) is his daughter-in-law Emilie Fiedler (Goercke), wife of his son Carl (1.5.1 FIEDLER); (#11) Fritz Fiedler (1.5.1.1 FIEDLER) and (#13) Walter Fiedler (1.5.1.2 FIEDLER) are the sons of Carl and Emilie; (#12) Edie Terrell (1.5.3.2 FIEDLER) is the daughter of Bertha Terrell (Fiedler) (1.5.3 FIEDLER), the third child of Carl Fiedler (1.5 FIEDLER). The Hoffmanns are related to August Schubert: (#14) Emma Hoffmann (Irrgang) was the daughter of August’s half-brother Gustav Irrgang; their mother was Rosina Irrgang nee Krause, later Schubert and Rothe.

Opening of bridge over the creek on Bridge Street, Tanunda, SA, built by August Schubert and sons Jack, Walde, Ossie and Lothar, 1915. Initially the road was built at August’s expense, but before the Tanunda District Council would accept it, he had to built a bridge also. That was an expensive exercise which took many weeks, with timber sourced from the Angaston mill. The photograph was taken looking north, with Council representatives inspecting the completed structure.

in the youth group, on the 18 February 1915. Blumensprace is a Lied (song) composed by Franz Peter Schubert. This would have been the youth group of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Tanunda, SA.
